Professional Fee Auditor

Job Summary

To support quality assurance initiatives, the full-time Professional Fee Auditor will conduct audits on professional coding specialists, provide training and educational support, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete quality assurance reviews for internal and external clients and provide onboarding training for new coding specialists
• Track and report on coding accuracy and educational opportunities, addressing client needs as required
• Maintain a coding auditing accuracy rate of 95% or better while meeting productivity standards

Required qualifications:

• Approved AHIMA or AAPC coding credential; CIRCC/RCCIR is a plus
• Minimum of 4 years of coding experience, with specialty experience preferred based on client needs
• At least 2 years of auditing experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of 2021 and 2023 Evaluation and Management guidelines
• Strong E/M auditing and surgical experience with the ability to provide provider education
