Job Summary

Advancing fundraising efforts, the full-time Program Development Coordinator will manage grant writing, reporting, and strategic development initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders to create impactful proposals and communications in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Research and develop a prospect list of grant opportunities to meet funding needs and annual goals
  • Coordinate grant requests by establishing timelines and submitting proposals and reports within deadlines
  • Draft and edit high-quality proposals and reports, ensuring alignment with organizational voice and style
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in grant writing, development communications, or fundraising
  • Graphic design and presentation software experience preferred (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising software preferred
  • Knowledge of metro Detroit foundations and animal welfare is a plus
