Program Manager, Climate Sustainability

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of grants focused on local climate action, the full-time salaried Program Manager, Climate Sustainability will oversee the Local IMPACT Accelerator grant program, ensuring compliance and supporting local governments in emissions reduction efforts across various sectors while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee active grants, including contract negotiation, project deliverables, and compliance with federal and state requirements
• Provide support to local governments on sustainability initiatives in buildings, land use, transportation, and waste management
• Facilitate collaboration across teams and agencies to enhance program effectiveness and identify process improvements

Required qualifications:

• Three years of professional experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience
• Experience in grant management, compliance, and reporting
• Background in sustainability with an understanding of greenhouse gas emissions reductions
• Experience developing scopes of work and managing contracts
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams
