Job Summary
Leading the planning and exercise support activities for a major FEMA program, the full-time remote Program Manager - Exercise Planning will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee exercise lifecycle processes, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective consequence management and special-event preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary interface with Government stakeholders, providing overall management and technical direction for program performance
- Direct and oversee exercise planning, including concept development, design, facilitation, evaluation, and reporting
- Coordinate activities across FEMA, DHS, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated planning and operational alignment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
- 10-15 years of experience managing complex federal emergency management or major special-event programs
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale exercise planning and execution
- Strong experience coordinating activities involving federal, state, local, and interagency stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including IMS and deliverable tracking
