Program Manager, Food and Farming

Job Summary

Leading the Food and Farming Storytelling Fund, the full-time remote Program Manager will oversee reporting grants for independent journalists, support the growth of the Food and Farming Journalism Network, and manage program measurement and reporting over a two-year pilot period.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit journalists for reporting grants, providing mentorship and support for factory farming coverage
• Oversee the launch and expansion of independent media platforms and manage audience development initiatives
• Track program outputs and impact, contributing to grant reporting and managing the program budget and tools

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience managing journalist networks or similar media initiatives
• Strong understanding of the freelance journalism and creator economy landscape
• Experience with grant-making and program administration
• Excellent relationship-building skills with journalists and creators
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
