Program Manager for State Engagements

Job Summary

Owning the delivery plan for state and enterprise engagements, the full-time Program Manager for State Engagements will manage client relationships, coordinate between clients and product teams, and ensure timely project delivery in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the delivery plan, tracking milestones, UAT cycles, and acceptance against contracted statements of work
• Run client cadence through weekly status meetings, steering meetings, and escalations with agency program staff
• Manage scope, including capability traceability, acceptance criteria negotiation, and change requests

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience in complex software delivery, preferably with government or regulated-industry clients
• Proven experience managing contractual milestones and UAT-based acceptance
• Strong writing skills for status reports, meeting summaries, and acceptance criteria documentation
• Ability to manage plans that depend on teams you do not directly oversee
• Preferred experience with child care programs in state government or familiarity with state human services systems
