Program Manager, Specialty Care

Job Summary

To provide high-level programmatic support to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Program Manager, Specialty Care will manage the full lifecycle of program and project management activities, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and closeout of specialty care initiatives within a complex federal healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Task Order Manager for program and project management activities, including planning, executing, and closing deliverables
• Assist VA leadership by developing detailed project plans, integrated master schedules, and performance dashboards aligned with VHA strategic priorities
• Facilitate coordination across interdisciplinary teams and federal stakeholders to ensure program milestones are met in compliance with federal policies

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare program and project management within an integrated health care system
• Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Program Management, or a closely related field
• Minimum of 6 years of experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a government or federal healthcare contracting environment
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust and comply with all VA IT security and privacy requirements
