Programs Director

Job Summary

Leading and advancing programmatic work, the full-time salaried Programs Director will provide strategic leadership for Native Ways Federation's initiatives, overseeing program implementation and evaluation while cultivating relationships with Native-led nonprofits and philanthropic partners in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and community needs
• Represent Native Ways Federation in philanthropic and nonprofit spaces, building and maintaining relationships across networks
• Supervise program staff, fostering a collaborative team culture and contributing to organizational strategy development

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• At least 7 years of professional experience in the nonprofit and/or philanthropic sector
• Experience working with Native-led organizations, Tribal nations, and/or Native businesses
• Expert interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop trusting relationships with diverse partners
• Extensive knowledge of Native history and current issues facing Native communities
