Project Accountant

Job Summary

To support project cost accounting efforts, the full-time remote Project Accountant will oversee and report on project costs, act as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions, and manage invoicing processes while ensuring adherence to accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and report on project cost accounting, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Identify and resolve project issues while reconciling and analyzing project cost reports
• Manage the monthly invoicing process and assist in collections efforts for past due balances

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience required
• Seven or more years of corporate accounting experience preferred
• Prior project accounting experience within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and experience with an ERP system required
• Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) preferred but not required
