Project Accountant
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Project Accountant will manage financial tasks associated with analysis, monitoring, and reporting for assigned consulting projects, ensuring compliance with contractual cost and schedule objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Handle financial tasks for consulting projects, coordinating with team members and external stakeholders
- Monitor contract funding and prepare financial reports, statements, and estimates for government compliance
- Review and analyze project scope and customer requirements, escalating issues as necessary
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role
- Proficiency in accounting software systems such as NetSuite and Certinia, along with intermediate MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of revenue recognition and accrual accounting
- Experience with government contracting requirements is a plus
