Project Controls Specialist

Job Summary

To support critical construction-phase decision-making, the full-time remote Project Controls Specialist will manage budgets, deliver accurate forecasting, and oversee contract and invoice management for multiple concurrent energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgets and monthly cost reporting for 6-10 active construction projects, ensuring timely financial information for stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project cash flow forecasts while identifying budget variances and managing contingency tracking
• Prepare executive-ready reporting materials and conduct financial analyses to support project strategy and decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project cost controls, budgeting, or project financial management within the energy industry
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis
• Experience developing project cash flow forecasts and managing multiple project budgets simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear presentations and reports
