Job Summary
Providing advanced performance analysis and design expertise, the full-time Project Engineer will manage utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders while performing due diligence during development, design, construction, and asset management phases, with a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and recommend equipment and design specifications to suppliers and internal partners
- Create and review performance estimates for photovoltaic and energy storage systems using commercial software
- Lead Independent Engineer due diligence, including contract management and technical support for bank assessments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field (electrical preferred)
- 3-7 years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic and/or energy storage engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn company-specific software
- Expertise in energy modeling techniques and understanding of engineering contracts
- Strong project management skills with experience in coordinating multifaceted projects
