Job Summary
Leading a team of designers remotely, the full-time Project Engineer - Design Lead will manage team development, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide mentorship in high-level design analysis while ensuring project deliverables are met.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 8-11 designers, providing coaching and performance feedback
- Track team workload and priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and enforce engineering standards
Required qualifications
- Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Five or more years of related experience in engineering
- Minimum three years of leadership experience in team management and process improvement
- Strong knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems
- Experience with a high-level CAD system
