Job Summary
To support the VA's Office of Suicide Prevention, the full-time Program Manager will lead program management activities, serve as a liaison between contractor teams and VA leadership, and develop program documentation to enhance Veteran health outcomes and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program management activities for care management workstreams under the Elevated Risk initiative
- Facilitate communication and resolve issues between the contractor team and VA program leadership
- Monitor program performance against established metrics and recommend corrective actions as needed
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare program management, particularly in integrated health system operations or behavioral health
- Master's Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience supporting a large corporation or federal government agency, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent required at time of application
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA network access and meet all applicable VA background investigation requirements
