Job Summary
Serving as the primary program management authority, the full-time salaried Task Order Project Lead/Program Manager will oversee complex initiatives within the Veterans Health Administration, ensuring program goals are met while collaborating with senior leadership and managing cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day oversight and strategic direction for all program activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on scope, on schedule, and within budget
- Plan, initiate, manage, execute, and close programs in support of VHA's integrated health care system using structured program management methodologies
- Engage with VA and VHA senior leadership to provide program updates, present risks, and facilitate data-driven decision-making
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management within an integrated health care system or large-scale federal environment, or 4 years with a BA/BS degree
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related discipline, or a BA/BS with relevant experience
- Minimum of 6 years (Master's path) or 4 years (BA/BS path) of experience supporting a large corporation or government agency, preferably in federal health care
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust clearance and comply with VA information security requirements
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable quality-equivalent certification required at time of hire
