Project Manager

Job Summary

Managing medium to large-scale EF&I projects, the full-time Field Services Project Manager will ensure project delivery within budget and schedule while maintaining Ciena's quality standards, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and oversee project execution, managing customer expectations and communications throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective deployment activities

Required qualifications

• A technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• PMP certification preferred (required within one year of hire)
• Minimum of 10 years of telecommunications industry operational experience and/or project implementation
• Minimum of 8 years in a lead role managing medium to large-scale projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
