Project Manager

Job Summary

Managing distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones, the freelance Project Manager will oversee customer engagements, ensuring timely delivery while actively removing blockers and maintaining project documentation remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and track project plans in Smartsheet, managing scope, hours, and budget in real time
• Run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring decisions are made and blockers are removed
• Maintain a live risk register and RAID log, proactively identifying and mitigating risks before they impact the project

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of delivery experience on cloud engineering or data engineering projects
• Hands-on fluency with Smartsheet, Jira/Confluence, and Clockify
• Demonstrated experience managing at least one fixed-bid project from kickoff through closure
• Strong grasp of Agile delivery metrics and ability to use them to drive execution
• Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
