Project Scheduler

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Project Scheduler will manage the overall scheduling of communications contacts with operational spacecraft missions through NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN) antennas, interfacing with various stakeholders and generating scheduling requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Generate requirements using Request/Requirement & Control Language (R&CL) and events in Service Scheduling Software (SSS) for initial schedule generation
• Perform conflict resolution negotiation activities with all DSN users to maximize science data return
• Prepare weekly scheduling status reports and coordinate the delivery of accurate DSN view periods for Resource Allocation Review (RAR) analysis

Required qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
• Background in computers and application software including UNIX
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or equivalent
• 3 years of experience with network scheduling or related flight project experience preferred
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
