Job Summary
Serving as the key scientific interface between Translational Safety & Risk Sciences and cross-functional project teams, the full-time remote Project Toxicologist will develop and implement nonclinical safety strategies, adapt to emerging data, and lead multidisciplinary teams in drug development across various therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the nonclinical safety representative on core project teams, driving translational safety strategy and innovation
- Design and oversee nonclinical safety assessment programs, integrating innovative study designs and methodologies
- Critically evaluate experimental data and author key sections of nonclinical strategy and regulatory submissions
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD) and 4 years of Toxicology experience, or a Master's degree with 7 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience
- A minimum of 8 years of drug development experience as a Project Toxicologist/Nonclinical Safety Project Team Representative
- End-to-end safety assessment experience across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities
- Subject matter expertise in a defined area of toxicology, such as drug-induced liver injury
- Board certification by the American Board of Toxicology is preferred
