Proofreader - Publishing

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Proofreader - Publishing will manage the end-to-end processing of permission requests, ensuring compliance with licensing policies while supporting cross-functional teams in a medical publishing environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle incoming permissions requests efficiently and in accordance with current permissions policy and fee structure
• Maintain and validate accurate metadata and rights information across internal systems
• Communicate regularly with internal groups and external vendors to ensure seamless content delivery and compliance with copyright regulations

Required qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a related role
• Knowledge of the publishing industry, particularly permissions and copyright
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
