Property Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions for institutional single-family rental portfolios, the full-time Property Accountant will prepare financial statements, manage month-end close processes, and maintain accurate records in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and client/partner accounting policies
• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis
• Maintain fixed asset ledgers and ensure compliance with capitalization policies and depreciation schedules

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or fund accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with fixed assets and depreciation accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
