Property Accountant

Job Summary

Leading the full-cycle accounting for a property management portfolio, the full-time Property Accountant will deliver accurate financial statements, perform variance analysis, and provide insights for leadership while working remotely with occasional travel for monthly meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy
• Analyze financial reports and provide explanations for budget to actual variances

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience in property management
• Experience with Yardi property management software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Able to work independently in a remote capacity
