Job Summary
Working in a hybrid environment, the full-time Property Accountant II will manage full cycle G/L accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements for their portfolio while collaborating with the Property Management team on budgets and reconciliations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide internal and external reporting of financial results, including preparing monthly financial statement packages and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines
- Interact with property management and clients regarding accounting information, addressing basic to intermediate issues and escalating complex matters as necessary
- Support the property budgeting process and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analyses as required
Required qualifications
- 2-4 years of related accounting/reporting experience
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle G/L accounting
- Intermediate competence in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; knowledge of Yardi and/or MRI is a plus
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
