Property and Casualty Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter / Senior Underwriter responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and driving new and renewal business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrites new and renewal business, analyzing policy forms and broker requests according to underwriting standards
• Evaluates risks to determine acceptance, modification, or decline of coverage and sets appropriate terms and premiums
• Maintains broker relationships and collaborates across teams to manage production activities and service clients effectively

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in E&S carrier Underwriting
• Must meet state P&C and/or surplus line licensing requirements
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is a plus
