Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter responsible for evaluating risk eligibility and managing a defined book of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate incoming commercial insurance submissions and determine eligibility
• Use underwriting tools to make sound decisions ensuring a profitable book of business
• Mentor Underwriting Assistants and delegate tasks to optimize workflow

Required Qualifications

• Home state Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in insurance account administration with commercial auto and package business
• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven knowledge of insurance underwriting for commercial auto and package risks
• Insurance industry educational certification(s) preferred
