Property & Casualty Underwriter

Job Summary

Property & Casualty Underwriter, seeking an experienced individual for a full-time remote position responsible for evaluating risk eligibility, pricing and structuring accounts, managing renewals, and driving profitable growth within a defined book of business.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate eligibility of incoming commercial insurance submissions and make sound underwriting decisions
• Introduce specialty products to new producer relationships and manage client interactions regarding quotes and coverage
• Provide oversight and mentorship to Underwriting Assistants while maintaining underwriting quality

Required Qualifications

• Home state Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in insurance account administration with a focus on commercial auto and package business
• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; extended experience may substitute for lack of degree
• Proven knowledge of insurance underwriting, particularly in commercial auto and related package risks
• Insurance industry educational certification(s) are preferred
