Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant (Excess P&C) to support senior underwriting staff with administrative tasks and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Assess loss history and financial conditions for risk cases
Review documentation and conduct preliminary reviews of complex submissions
Process accounts from approved quotes through to policy issuance

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 1 year of P&C underwriting or related support experience
CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software
Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity if located near Buffalo, NY or Carlsbad, CA
