Property Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter who is analytically minded and hands-on, with a focus on homeowner's coverage and risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Review new and renewal business from the referral system
• Approve or deny requests to bind insurance
• Manage phone calls from agents and referrals, and complete ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior homeowners' insurance experience
• A minimum of 3 years of property underwriting experience
• A college degree or equivalent experience and education
• Experience working directly with customers, insurance producers, and agents
• Experience with insurance software and MS Office Suite
