Property Underwriter
Job Summary
To support a dynamic underwriting team, the remote Property Underwriter will facilitate underwriting processes, make risk-based decisions, and review property inspection reports to ensure the profitability and integrity of the book of business.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate underwriting processes and make risk-based decisions to maintain profitability
- Review property inspection reports and documentation to identify hazards and eligibility issues
- Document inspection findings and underwriting decisions clearly within applicable systems
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in P&C property underwriting
- Experience reviewing property inspections and making underwriting decisions based on findings
- Strong understanding of property risk characteristics and their impact on underwriting decisions
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Google Workspace, and policy management systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
