Property Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing portfolio, the full-time salaried Property Underwriting Specialist will underwrite new and renewal business, manage large accounts, and evaluate natural catastrophe risks while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet regional targets
• Manage large accounts, including negotiation of pricing and terms
• Evaluate natural catastrophe accumulation and ensure contract certainty

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in property underwriting
• Expert understanding of sub-lines of business and regional property insurance markets
• Completion of a professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII) preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data
• Proficiency in office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
