Propulsion Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the design, analysis, and testing of propulsion systems, the full-time Propulsion Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects spanning air-launched effects and tactical interceptors while ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and analysis of propulsion systems from early concept through qualification
• Perform internal ballistics, structural, and thermal analysis of propulsion components
• Integrate propulsion subsystems with airframe and avionics while contributing to design standards

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in propulsion system design, analysis, or testing
• Working knowledge of solid rocket motor design and internal ballistics
• Familiarity with static fire or hot fire test campaigns
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for modeling and data analysis
