Protocol Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Protocol Engineer to lead the development of smart contract infrastructure for their protocol.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop smart contracts for the IP Protocol and supporting systems
• Lead protocol lifecycle: research, specification, implementation, testing, auditing, and deployment
• Optimize for scalability, gas efficiency, and economic sustainability while ensuring protocol security

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years developing smart contracts on EVM-compatible chains using Solidity
• 5+ years in senior engineering roles, with experience across Web2 and Web3
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture and smart contract design patterns
• Familiarity with cryptographic primitives and decentralized storage systems
• CS degree or equivalent practical experience
