Provider Educator with Coding Certification

Job Summary

To support the academic clinical environment, the full-time remote Provider Educator with Coding Certification will promote accurate billing practices, conduct medical record reviews, and develop training curricula for faculty physicians and advanced practice providers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate prospective and retrospective medical record reviews to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement training curricula and lead provider training sessions on coding and billing practices
• Collaborate with Billing, Coding, Revenue Integrity, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding

Required qualifications

• Nine years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle or behavioral health coding/billing
• Advanced knowledge of auditing standards and internal control systems
• Broad understanding of finance, accounting, and business operations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work independently with various levels of personnel
• Specialized expertise in enterprise software and relational databases may be required
