Provider Enrollment Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely with the possibility of a hybrid schedule, the full-time Provider Enrollment Specialist will manage provider applications, maintain accurate data entry, and handle correspondence related to provider enrollment for the Alaska MMIS Fiscal Agent contract.

Key responsibilities

• Processes and returns moderately complex provider applications and requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Enters, verifies, and maintains provider data within systems to ensure up-to-date and accurate information
• Handles written correspondence and responds to internal and external inquiries related to provider enrollment

Required qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in credentialing, medical billing, or healthcare
• Demonstrated professionalism when communicating with providers and customers
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately track and follow up on assignments and enrollment applications
• Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office
