Provider Enrollment Specialist

Job Summary

Coordinating provider enrollment for physician and allied health professional participation in government and third-party payers, the full-time hourly Provider Enrollment Specialist will prepare applications, manage correspondence with carriers, and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares provider applications for third-party payers and coordinates correspondence to expedite provider number assignments
• Delivers provider applications to health plans while adhering to strict deadlines and performs follow-up for participation approval
• Maintains provider number records and ensures current information is on file for all contracted physicians

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Two years of healthcare claims insurance, Provider Enrollment, or credentialing experience
• Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
