Provider Relations Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Provider Relations Specialist (Remote Option within SHP Service Area).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Security Health Plan and affiliated providers for escalated and contractual issues
• Manage relationship activities for various healthcare providers, including issue escalation strategies and educational programs
• Build and preserve strong relationships with hospital, professional, vendor, care system, and ancillary providers

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree or 60+ credits in health care, business, marketing, education, or related field
• Three years' experience in a medical group practice or health insurance/HMO environment
• Experience with healthcare claims and insurance reimbursement methods
• Working knowledge of healthcare delivery systems and managed care concepts
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
