Provider Services Specialist

Job Summary

To support large-scale healthcare organizations, the full-time remote Provider Services Specialist will manage enrollment tasks, follow up on credentialing-based holds and denials, and escalate issues related to payer, provider, or billing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Complete enrollment tasks and follow up on credentialing issues to ensure timely resolution
• Act as a liaison between practitioners, billing management, and insurance carriers while processing tasks from the Enrollment Worklist
• Report new and existing issues to upper administration and maintain Payer Enrollment groups and statuses as directed

Required qualifications

• Athena experience required
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a business/healthcare environment
• 3+ years of applicable experience in credentialing and enrollment, with multi-specialty experience being a plus
• Experience in a medical billing environment with strong compliance to HIPAA regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of credentialing databases or reporting systems
