Psychology Department Chair

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Academic Department Chair in Psychology (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise full- and part-time faculty, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal
• Oversee course curriculum in collaboration with course leaders and the Assistant Dean of Curriculum
• Participate in student retention activities and address faculty-student escalation issues

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology, with licensure preferred
• 5+ years of experience in post-secondary education, preferably with online instruction
• Preferred experience in teaching and supervising faculty
• Leadership experience and familiarity with online learning environments preferred
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting technology
