Job Summary
Supporting the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) program for the CDC, the full-time Public Health Analyst will conduct epidemiological analysis, manage data quality initiatives, and provide user outreach and technical assistance related to healthcare-associated infections (HAI).
Key responsibilities
- Develop computer programs using SAS/R to monitor data quality and assist in NHSN data cleaning projects
- Prepare and present educational trainings about NHSN to various professional organizations and governmental bodies
- Analyze data for reports and publications while providing analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams to achieve public health research goals
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
- Proficiency in R and/or SAS, with experience supporting public health surveillance and healthcare data analytics initiatives
- Experience in analyzing, validating, and interpreting large public health or healthcare datasets
