Public Health Analyst

Job Summary

To support the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) program for the CDC, the full-time remote Public Health Analyst will develop R programs for data quality monitoring, provide technical support and training to NHSN users, and participate in epidemiological investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide help desk support and training for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and manage NHSN user inquiries
• Identify and create updates for NHSN modules and reporting mechanisms based on technological advancements and infection trends
• Conduct educational outreach and consultation with healthcare facilities and organizations to enhance HAI prevention and surveillance activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or a related field with 2-5 years of experience
• Proficiency in R at an intermediate to advanced level
• Strong ability to compile and present statistical information to diverse audiences
