Public Health Communications Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Public Health Communications Manager to provide strategic communications support and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of public health communications efforts
• Coordinate messaging with internal teams to align with the Department's public health mission
• Translate complex health data into clear public-facing messages and ensure rapid dissemination during public health events

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Background in public health, communications, behavioral health, or related discipline
• Experience in strategic communications planning for large organizations or public agencies
• Knowledge of misinformation trends and strategies to address them
• Familiarity with California's public health landscape and community networks
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience in public information program development or communication project management
