Job Summary

Providing consulting and analytics support, the full-time Public Health Data Analyst will work remotely to analyze complex data for the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network, ensuring data quality and delivering actionable insights to clients.

Key responsibilities
  • Access and analyze complex datasets, conducting statistical analyses and performing quality checks on deliverables
  • Lead data cleaning and manipulation tasks, implementing automated solutions and conducting analyses using Python and/or R
  • Develop training materials and presentations on antimicrobial use and resistance, communicating findings to stakeholders in both technical and plain language
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, epidemiology, public health, or related field with at least nine years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with at least seven years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience managing large datasets and performing quality control in healthcare data
  • Experience with quality-assurance testing or user-acceptance testing involving healthcare data
  • Ability to complete a federal Position of Public Trust Level 5 background investigation
