Job Summary
To support the SAMHSA's 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Awareness initiative, a full-time Public Health Subject Matter Expert will analyze program needs, evaluate communication strategies, and provide expertise in suicide prevention and behavioral health to enhance outreach efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzing agency and program needs to determine functional requirements and develop process improvement recommendations
- Contributing expertise to workstreams including paid campaign strategy, audience segmentation, and performance evaluation
- Advising on emerging tools and technologies relevant to 988 communications while ensuring compliance with organizational and federal requirements
Required qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in public health, behavioral health, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in a relevant area applicable to the 988 Awareness Support program
- Recognized expertise in suicide prevention, behavioral health crisis services, or public health communications
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating and applying evidence-based approaches to public health challenges
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (Tier II)
