Job Summary

Seeking a strategic and culturally attuned Public Relations Manager, the fully remote position will lead external communications, enhance brand visibility, and serve as the primary spokesperson for Indigenous Pact, while working within the Central or Pacific time zone.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage media relations by cultivating relationships with journalists and identifying earned media opportunities to position Indigenous Pact as a thought leader in Tribal health equity
  • Serve as the organization's primary spokesperson, representing Indigenous Pact at media interviews and public events while providing media coaching for executives
  • Write and edit various communication materials, including press releases and crisis communications plans, while collaborating with the marketing team to ensure alignment with broader campaigns
Required qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of public relations experience with a focus on media relations and earned media strategy
  • Proven experience as a spokesperson and in coaching executives for media engagements
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly
  • Strong existing relationships with journalists and media contacts, particularly in relevant sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
