Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time hourly capacity, the Public Safety Training Content Developer will research, author, and evaluate training content for public safety policy manuals, ensuring high-quality deliverables while adhering to deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and update policy training content, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and state-specific practices
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal teams to create and refine training materials
- Evaluate existing content for practicality and recommend necessary revisions based on best practices and legal standards
Required qualifications:
- Recent supervisory/managerial experience in law enforcement, corrections, or community corrections
- Minimum of five years of training experience in law enforcement or related fields
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Public Policy, or Journalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn specialized software systems
- Strong writing skills with a passion for developing training content and evaluating its applicability
