Public Sector Accounting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Accounting to lead stabilization and audit remediation efforts in a public-sector organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Stabilize accounting operations and support the completion of the FY2025 audit
• Address audit findings and restore financial reporting integrity
• Lead accounting alignment and reporting capability within Workday Financials

Required Qualifications

• Significant public-sector, municipal, government, or nonprofit accounting experience at a leadership level
• Proven, hands-on audit remediation experience
• Strong operational and technical accounting leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to stabilize challenged environments
• Experience with Workday Financials is preferred but not required
