Job Summary
As a key contributor to the Office of Career Services, the full-time Director of Public Sector Career Advising will provide guidance to J.D. students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies, and professional development, while serving as the primary advisor for public sector employment opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling on career goals, job search strategies, and professional development
- Develop and deliver job search-related workshops and resources for students and alumni
- Act as the primary contact for public sector job placements and fellowships, overseeing related programs and events
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree
- 2-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in the public sector
- Knowledge of career counseling and public sector employment trends
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse constituencies
- Excellent public speaking skills
