Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Cyber Security Engineer III will engineer, deploy, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity technologies while supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain enterprise cybersecurity technologies for NIH information systems
- Support security monitoring and operational cyber defense activities across various environments
- Conduct technical security assessments and coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts
Required qualifications
- Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in implementing enterprise cybersecurity technologies
- Experience with NIST cybersecurity controls and Federal security requirements
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH, GSEC, GCIH, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
