Job Summary
To support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the full-time remote Cyber Security Engineer II will engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise cybersecurity technologies while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements and NIST standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Engineer and maintain enterprise cybersecurity technologies for NIH information systems
- Support security monitoring and operational cyber defense activities across various environments
- Conduct technical security assessments and coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts
Required qualifications:
- Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience implementing enterprise cybersecurity technologies
- Experience with NIST cybersecurity controls and federal security requirements
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH, GSEC, GCIH, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
