Job Summary

Supporting the National Institutes of Health, the full-time remote Linux System Administrator will administer and optimize enterprise Linux operating systems while ensuring security and compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Linux operating systems including RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux
  • Implement security architecture and Zero Trust principles to maintain secure Linux server environments
  • Develop automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools to enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
  • Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure engineering, automation, virtualization, and cloud technologies
  • Preferred certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Security+, Linux+, GCUX, or CISSP
